About Interior Doors
While exterior doors should be as tight as possible, it sometimes makes sense to purposely allow air flow under interior doors. Proper air flow helps in the distribution of fresh air as part of a home ventilation system. Undercutting the doors by 3/4 inch or so allows fresh air to circulate throughout spaces even when doors are closed.
